Project Description : Rural banking in India started since the establishment of banking sector in India. Rural Banks in those days mainly focused upon the agro sector. Today, commercial banks and Regional rural banks in India are penetrating every corner of the country are extending a helping hand in the growth process of the rural sector in the country. The operations of banking sector has evolved over a period of time and at present, banking sector are broadly taken as those sectors of the economy which in the absence of inclusion in the banking sector categories would not get timely and adequate finance. Typically, these rural operations of banks help small loans and marginal farmers for agriculture and allied activities, loans to Micro and Small Enterprises, loans for small housing projects, education loans and other small loans to people with low income levels. Objective of thus study to find out how PSU banks are servicing to rural Indian consumers
